It vanished. It's like it never happened. It's not part of the conversation in any way.

I think the potency of the torch-passing story to efface Trump's assassination attempt will fade when Biden returns to the camera in an hour and afterward. But at the same time, the assassination attempt becomes older news. So a pretty safe bet is that it's not going to factor in November either way.
Or they'll make another attempt to delete Trump. Esp if all the conspiracy theories are on to something when they insist that Crooks had help making his way to the roof despite multiple attempts at making himself very visible to law enforcement.
